Just figured I'd make a brand new thread since we are in a new rotation, and the other one was already 97 pages long.
Good luck on getting what you want, everyone!

I am new to the Store, and thus also the Daily Deals and the rotations of the deals. I have found lists of previous rotations, but I cannot understand how these lists are compiled. Since a new rotation began yesterday, I presume that no one can know what the deals are going to be, and in what order they will appear, right? What I wonder (or rather am hoping) is if it is possible to have a clue when an object will be for sale, like for example if the rotations are in some form a rotation or something like that :-).

Right now we don't know what will be coming up when but once it starts to rotate again we'll know the order. And if deals continue to go the full two hours we'll have a pretty good idea of how long they'll last as well.

I have to rant here off the official forums, and this is not aimed at anyone in particular or meant to offend anyone - what's with the silly trend of the DD losing its excitement now that deals aren't immediately selling out? Perhaps just find enjoyment in playing with the stuff in the deal you bought, and knowing hundreds of people didn't have to suffer when they did not get it. If you really want to live on the edge, you could wait until the last 5 seconds before the deal ends to click the buy button and see if you get it or not. Maybe go wild and fiddle with your internet cable or WiFi beforehand to raise the fear factor. Silly people.

I concur with you, David. While I miss some of the rush of getting the fast deal, here's how I see it.
When I would see a deal coming up for something I still needed, I would wait, tense, ready to snag it, refreshing the set page. My heart would be pounding, my blood pumping, my breath coming in short, shallow breaths, my adrenaline flowing. Then I would click the deal, and I would wait, tense, until I got the message. The feeling of elation when I would get it was fantastic! I would run to the forums and shout my joy to those who would understand. Then I would read posts from those who missed it, and were angry and frustrated... and that feeling of elation would be crushed. I would feel sad for those who didn't get it, sometimes to the point of almost tears. My joy in my new item would be tempered by the fact that I got it at the cost of hurting others.
Then the times I missed the deal (which admittedly wasn't often for me), the feeling of frustration and anger and loss was terrible. I knew others shared this with me, which didn't make it any better for me.
So no, I don't miss the fast deals. I don't miss the excitement. There is still the happiness you get from getting something you were really looking forward to that I've gotten from the not-so-fast deals, and that, to me, is far better. Because the crush of sadness after the height of elation is something I do not enjoy.

I'm finding that though I do miss the excitement of a faster deal a little bit, I like this much better. I can plan accordingly and still get things done without having to camp at my computer to see when a deal is coming. Much less stressful too.
