Wondering if everyone has abandoned thesims3.com ... coz I am getting plenty of ads at the moment, I've never seen them this early in the evening before! I'm getting plenty too. I guess a lot of people aren't around because of the forum downtime? I'll have to third that. |

Shutting down the forums can't keep us down! I know I don't post a lot, but I am someone who has always followed the forums (admitted daily deal stalker here) and was devastated when they announced that it was going to be read only for a few days. Glad our resourceful simmers (Thank you Wallin!) decided to do this and come together on here.

I never used see any either until Tahera suggested (as Jodi mentioned) using your browsers 'incognito' or 'private' mode. I never got more than three a day but recently I have seen many more - and usually very late at night when I really should be in bed! I am only seeing ads in Chrome Incognito, but when I click on it, nothing happens  Yeah, I am getting quite a few that run for three seconds and do nothing - I think it might be the flash load process ... In the old place I think Shogo suggested a way of 'tricking' it to give points or load a real ad but I've not got it to work yet. Shutting down the forums can't keep us down! Criminy, I was keeping an eye on the DD page because I was thinking I might get the Make a Wish compilation for free ... and I watched the clock tick down and then the page wouldn't load, and when I finally got it loaded in a different browser, I'd already missed it. At least I got the Best of 2010 Comp for free. |
