my price was 355, decided to pass though I had the points. Not getting the sofa because the best of 2010 compilation showed up once and surely will show again. I'm gonna wait to see the price for the greenhouse (shouldn't take too long) and then off to bed I go

Was able to pick up MAW free. Glad I got this one since I missed the 2010 comp earlier. MAW went really quick. Looked like it sold out in 2 min.

Yeah, I am getting quite a few that run for three seconds and do nothing - I think it might be the flash load process ... In the old place I think Shogo suggested a way of 'tricking' it to give points or load a real ad but I've not got it to work yet.

So I have now seen the trick work, and it was KramYraelo who described it on the old forums:

Oh and, when you get those videos that don't play and just go back to the play button (well I get those), drag the progress bar on the bottom all the way right, click play and click it again quickly. You'll probably get a "Play Again" elongated button. Click that and wait a second, 75% of the time I get the "Thank You" pop up and the point.

I also missed the 2010 comp earlier, and I have to say if I could only get one or the other I'm glad I got MAW! The set page took soooo long to refresh I almost didn't get it. Now that it's shown up once hopefully it will show up again for those who missed it.

Thanks for the tip.  My last ad worked (but only appeared in the incognito window), but next time it does not work, I will try KramYraelo's method.


I am off to OE (does our DD thread lingo transfer over to here).  I won't be able to post deals until much later.

I have found that when I do see the Bonus Simpoints button and after it no longer appears on that page (usually the Daily Deal page) I then randomly load other pages from the Sim store and quite often get another ad button or two. If I really am bored and spend the time at it, I systematically go through each section of the store and find more buttons on random pages. I really don't know when they finally stop. I usually just get bored and wander off after 20 or so. I once counted 30 (since they switched to the 5 points version) before they quit appearing.

I don't think I've ever used the actual venue but I use the SwiftGro Gardening Station all the time! Other than the multitab it's probably the store content I use the most. I also use the window and roof pieces to build my own greenhouse on my sim's home lot.
