I've been wondering if this'll happen myself. It might detract too much from the release of Sims 4, so maybe not -- but it'd be a good time to offload some virtual stock! *rolls eyes* Isn't there an American public holiday in September (I want to say Labor Day, but I'm not sure)? That might be a good time for them to try the Store-wide sale again. I imagine Halloween might be a good time for a big sale, too. I hate to think what Black Friday/Cyber Monday will be like this year! *wide-eyed/shocked smiley that I don't know the BBCode for* Yeah, Labor Day. Wonder if there'll be a sale then? I'm not too picky about WHEN in September, I just want to see a storewide sale! Lots I could get free at even 30% off. There's no guarantees, but American public and cultural holidays seem to attract SOME kind of sale, usually. Often, it'll just be a better discounted Sale page, but I imagine that we're in new territory now -- it certainly seems likely that we'll be seeing a Store-wide sale soon (after all, why bother for just April Fool's Day and Easter?). As always, you're probably right, Mia. Of course I'm right, I'm always right. I thought I was in error once, but I was wrong. ;-) Ha ha! I'm wrong more often than I can say, and I'm always chagrined and embarrassed when I am.  (They don't have an "oops" smiley on this site. Is there any way to add more smileys?) I'm interested to know about these smileys, too.  But you certainly are right a lot of the time, hun! In fact, there's quite a few Simmers here in our little community who are very wise. It makes me feel so young and silly! There's no need to feel embarrassed about being wrong sometimes. Just remember that you're usually more right than I am.  |

This forum is way easier to use than the official one, isn't it? Except for emojis. Super quick, and you don't have to scroll to move to other pages... Maybe we should stay here after they put the site ones back up. Unless maybe the changes are to make those forums more like these, lol. The official forums sure were awful! No video linking... |

It's a good point that we should be glad WoW showed up on the DD list - since that often signals that it will show up again before too long. Now if only they would put Worlds on the list... *sighs dreamily* This forum is way easier to use than the official one, isn't it? Except for emojis. Super quick, and you don't have to scroll to move to other pages... Maybe we should stay here after they put the site ones back up. Unless maybe the changes are to make those forums more like these, lol. Oh, and I just have to say, we all look SO WEIRD, except Jodi. I agree (about everything)! I love these forums, although the emoticons (and other BBCode stuff) will take some getting used to. The whole layout just feels so much easier, and it even takes note of my timezone (can't remember telling it about my timezone though *wide eyes*). But you're right in that we do look SO weird, except for Jodi and, of course, our beloved David/Darwin combo. Mia's avatar is already becoming kind of natural for me, but I do still expect to see that purple background. Can barely even recognise you, Ash!  |

i hated the sims forum software. never remembered read posts correctly and you couldn't just say show me the new stuff, you had to dig to find your spot! ugh! hopefully there will be an actual improvement on them this weekend.

There's a way to get the page number bar to float when you scroll, though! I'm not sure quite how but it started doing that for me just a little while ago, which is nice! Fodder? OMG, I totally laughed out loud at this. It goes way back to when someone, I think it was Devalaous, was talking about some video game, and he wanted to say that he used some characters as "cannon fodder" in battles. The crazy EA censor wouldn't let him say "fodder," and we had this long discussion about why in the world "fodder" would be censored. Didn't toilet paper come into it somehow? I remember going on a riff of making up new curses that incorporated "fodder," like "fod you!" and "this is such a clusterfod" and "you motherfodder." Mia, I don't have to scroll up to see the page numbers. Could it be your browser? I'm in Chrome, and on the regular page I can see the recent and next page numbers at the top no matter where I am. |

Edit: to fix quote. Still getting used to this. Hm... I just realized - you guys are right! I'm used to looking either at the very top of a page or the very bottom - I wasn't expecting to see them locked to my menu bar! Yes, I know how to do this as well, but it wasn't intuitive for me. I can see why the programmers would have wanted to do it (it's a neat effect), but things really should be intuitive to users.  |
